Happy March! Hope it’s been a lovely month for you so far. Even drowning in pollen, I’m loving the spring weather and warmer days.
I know it’s very much almost the end of March— as in, 30th of March— but that’s great news for you because there’s an “April Happy Hours” list coming soon after.

Have you ever wondered why no blogs or social media pages post happy hours on a regular basis? Simple: It is a royal pain in the a$$, like jotting down details about ships passing by the Savannah River— ships you may never see again.
And on that note, here’s a little happy disclaimer:
HAPPY HOUR DISCLAIMER: Please be aware that the specials featured here are subject to change or fully disappear at the establishment’s discretion (obviously). Happy hour is like a little gift from a restaurant or bar that could charge full price but decides to give you a deal on a few things. Some are more generous and creative than others, but all these places offer you something. Happy hour menus and prices are current as of the date these articles are published.
In regard to the lack of happy information:
What’s the deal with writing about local happy hours? They are fleeting, they change often. Nobody cares, nobody does it… Nobody but me. I am really into it.
Another perk of happy hour? Forget indecision paralysis and FOMO. Bye-bye endless thinking and choosing— the place, the food, the vibe. Just visit these few generous local spots offering you a little taste of something special.
To me, it’s almost like a game. I visit them, jot down notes on what they offer, on what day, at what hours. Then I scroll through them like treasures to pick from on a day off.
So, for your benefit and pleasure, I’m sharing three to four happy hours in the downtown/midtown Savannah area every month.
Hell, I might even venture to the Southside sometimes if the happys look promising enough.
If you feel like playing this game with me, feel free to write me your favorites to include in this monthly series.
Now, onwards to the happy times:
1. Repeal 33 Bar & Restaurant . 125 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, SAV, GA 31401

Time of the Happy Hour: 4pm to 6pm, AND 10pm to close.
What? Drinks 🍷🍺🍹 and food 🍔🌮🍤
Price Range: $2 to $10

One sentence: Best Brussels sprouts in the city.
Is that a strange thing to say? Who cares, they are ridiculously good. I even converted a Brussels sprout-hating friend to these recently.
It was a one-bite conversion.

They have had these Brussels sprouts in the menu for years, even back in 2018 when the restaurant was called Prohibition instead of Repeal 33.
One of the things I truly loooove love love is a place that offers a happy hour on the weekend. Most are only on weekdays—happy hour on a Saturday feels like skipping class and partying for an extra hour.

They have other delicious bites like sliders and roasted corn. If you love oysters, they are offered at $2 a piece.
Repeal has an amazing cocktail program. They offer a “bartender’s choice” cocktail for $10 and a red, white, or bubbly wine for $7. Again, dealer’s choice, and their wine selection is often amazing since they never carry low-quality stuff.
2. Local 11 Ten Food + Wine . 1110 Bull St, SAV, GA 31401
Days offered: Every day, 7 days a week.
Time of the Happy Hour: 5pm to 6pm
What? Just drinks 🍷🍺🍹
Price Range: $5 to $10

This fine dining spot is a local favorite. They offer a literal happy hour, as in, only one hour. Just drinks, no food, and a bit limited, but it’s a great deal if you love wine and want to have a nice appetizer.
Their happy hour menu is short but sweet. Click here to see the whole happy hour menu.
It’s also a great chance to try an appetizer. Their food is amazing. It is not on special, but very worth it.
3. Water Witch Tiki . 2220 Bull Street, SAV, GA 31401
Days offered: Monday to Friday
Time of the Happy Hour: 5pm to 7pm
What? Just drinks 🍷🍺🍹
Price Range: $3 to $11

Whenever anyone is wondering where to find a gorgeous-looking tiki bar in Savannah, this is the main pick.
Seriously, this is a great spot for a date or to hang out with a group of friends.

Ignore the furnishings, lighting, and decor for a minute, and you will discover that this is an amazing place for a drink. Not just the quality, but their generous offerings. From $3 Tecates to cocktails from $8 to $10 during their happy hour.

Moreover, if you miss happy hour, they offer a house daiquiri for $9 which is amazing, $7 shooters which are like complex mini cocktails, like the Pisco Alejandro, which tastes and looks like a mango lassi, and a decadent $4 skillet cookie which I couldn’t finish by myself.
This bar has so many levels of perfection at any hour of the day, it’s hard to count.
4. Bull Street Taco . 1608 Bull Street, SAV, GA 31401
Days offered: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Time of the Happy Hour: 4pm to 6pm.
What? Drinks 🍷🍺🍹 and food 🍔🌮🍤
Price Range: $3 to $5

Is it evident I went to Bull Street between the hours of 4pm and 7pm and just had myself a super happy time?
Guilty. I did. I went somewhere else after that… probably to bed. Who knows.
While Bull Street Taco only offers their happy hour menu a couple of days a week, it is pretty good. You can get yourself a Tecate, a tequila shot, two tacos, and Mexican street corn. All of that together for under $20.
Mondays are also special with a $5 fresh-squeezed margarita special, any time of the day, with a limit of two per guest.
I do need to mention, without fail, the tuna poke tostada. This tostada has been on the menu since they opened, and it is so, so good. At $6.50, it’s not breaking the bank either.

Here you go! These menus and prices are current as of two days ago, so go forth and happy hour like a pro. If you find a killer deal or a hidden gem, send it my way—because sharing is caring (especially when it comes to discounted drinks and snacks).

See you next month for more happy hunting!
