Hey there! I hope you had an amazing April. This article is all about the happy hour specials in Savannah we discovered this month.
If you’re here for the first time, thanks for checking out a local guide!
Also, feel free to take a look at the March 2025 happy hours — they’re still very relevant and equally exciting.
Can you feel yourself glistening a little as the warmer days roll in? Are you sporting that fairy-dust-like glow of golden pollen?
This month, I had to break out a light sweater a few mornings when temps dipped into the 50s.
Loved it. So, so much.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if it stayed like this?
Okay, enough weather talk — let’s get to the happy sips and bites.
But first, let’s set our expectations straight:
HAPPY HOUR DISCLAIMER: Please be aware that the specials featured here are subject to change or fully disappear at the establishment’s discretion (obviously). Happy hour is like a little gift from a restaurant or bar that could charge full price but decides to give you a deal on a few things. Some are more generous and creative than others, but all these places offer you something. Happy hour menus and prices are current as of the date these articles are published.
Why am I so passionate about happy hour? I bartend downtown, lots of my friends bartend downtown, and I’m all about the “Drink responsibly, tip recklessly” mantra.
It’s easy to be generous when someone’s already giving you a great deal.
Brochu’s Family Tradition
📍 2400 Bull St Suite 8 (entrance on 40th St), Savannah, GA 31401
Days Offered: Wednesdays and Thursdays
Happy Hour Time: 5pm to 6pm
What? Drinks 🍷🍺🍹 and food 🍔🌮🍤
Price Range: $8 – $14

This place is a local favorite — but also a furtive treat, only available two days a week for just one hour.
I took my husband out for a happy time, arriving 15 minutes before they opened, and there was already a crowd waiting outside.
The bar filled up in seconds, and the happy hour only happens at the bar.
So get there early if you want to snatch a seat and get your share of happy… or sour?
I honestly have no idea why they call it “Sour Hour.” I just know it’s a marvelous collection of delicious offerings.
Brochu’s has such great food.
Here’s a glance at their full menu. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t questioned that $60 whole chicken ordeal.
Especially when I could waltz into the nearby Kroger and grab a whole roasted chicken for a fraction of the price.
But that’s like going to Home Depot and buying a bucket of paint versus buying an actual work of art made by an artist — and there lies the difference.
I don’t know what kind of sorcery they put in that chicken. Probably witchcraft.
That whole chicken dinner, paired with a bottle of French bubbly, is a perfect date night affair — more than enough for two. Add the chicken liver toast appetizer if you’re feeling extra decadent.
It’s so insanely good it should be illegal.
I’d happily die eating that chicken and go to heaven… and that’s saying a lot, coming from someone who usually loves sushi and Thai food.
Back to the happy hour: this month they were featuring their greatest hits.

With all that chicken talk, of course we got the crispy chicken sandwich — which isn’t called that at all, haha. You have to order That Sweet Sticky Icky.

I didn’t make that up.
Got some fresh oysters (mandatory).

And the apple fritter — also mandatory if you’re being excessive.

Everything is perfection.
Even the boilermaker, which at the moment is a Miller High Life with a shot of Dirty Naynay — Which is mezcal with banana liquor — served in a 2oz metal ramekin for good measure. (No pun intended.)

Adding this to my list of “Things I didn’t know I needed in my life.”
The simple act of using ramekins as shot glasses shows a level of underrated finesse that screams, “I know I’m sexy, I don’t need to comb my hair.”
Late Air
📍 2805 Bull St, Savannah, GA 31405
Days Offered: Every day (closed Sundays)
Happy Hour Time: 5pm to 6pm | All day on Mondays!
What? Drinks 🍷🍺🍹 and food 🍔🌮🍤
Price Range: $2.50 – $20

If you’re not in the mood for chicken, just stroll down Bull Street to Late Air — a charming little restaurant that specializes in natural wines and European-inspired bites, like artisan olives and charcuterie plates.

They’ve got what they call “Apero Hour,” which features a rotating selection of discounted small plates, $8 wine options (2 or 3 by the glass), and $1 off their fresh oysters. Great quality oysters too — $2.50 apiece at the time I’m writing this.

Sometimes happy hour oysters are the smallest of the bunch, but these? They are full sized beauties.
Apero Hour happens every day except Sunday (when they’re closed), and ALL DAY MONDAYS. 🍷 ❤️
The vibe is chic and elegant — perfect for date night or catching up with a friend over some intimate wine chats.
Emporium Kitchen & Wine Market
📍 254 East Perry St, Savannah, GA 31401
Days Offered: Every day
Happy Hour Time: 4pm to 6pm
What? Drinks 🍷🍺🍹 and food 🍔🌮🍤
Price Range: $1 to $20
You can see The Emporium Kitchen and Wine Market happy hour menu by clicking here!

The Emporium feels quiet at 4pm. The bar is mostly empty, and the bartenders are quietly prepping for the night. It’s almost like the guests at the Perry Lane Hotel don’t know they’re selling $1 jumbo shrimp and $1 oysters by the unit at the bar.

It feels like getting away with something — you can’t help but wonder, “Who else is offering $1 oysters? Where else can I order just one jumbo shrimp tail?”
Me: “Yes sir, I’ll have a glass of white and a single shrimp.”
Totally doable. No questions asked. Your bill would be $9 (1 glass of wine + 1 shrimp).
Of course, I didn’t stop there. I went for 3 oysters and 3 shrimp because ordering just one would be inefficient, right?

I wonder if it is possible to get yourself a half dozen tequila shots. You know, just to be efficient.
I enjoyed my shrimp and oysters at the speed of an afterthought… then had an Oliver Twist moment: “Please sir, may I have some more?”
The instantly got myself 6 more shrimp. Heck, I would’ve ordered 12 more.
Inefficiency at its finest.
With $8 cocktails and great house wines, this is a very happy way to spend a couple hours.
Zunzibar
📍 236 Drayton St, Savannah, GA 31401
Days Offered: Every day
Happy Hour Time: 4pm to 7pm AND 10pm to 11pm
What? Drinks from 4 to 7 🍷🍺🍹, food from 10 to 11 🍔🌮🍤
Price Range: $3 to $11
You can see the Zunzibar happy hour menu by clicking here!

I wandered into Zunzibar after my happy hour at the Emporium, still buzzing from the shrimp and wine.
Confession: I only do these happy hour crawls once every couple of weeks. I drink very sparingly these days. It became a personal choice after working in bars where drinking with regulars was commonplace and often encouraged.
So dangerous.
You would be surprised how many local bartenders are sober now. Some for 6 months at a time (like me), some for good.
So, I’m a very cheap date these days, which, in this current world of inflation, is a bit of a blessing.
Here’s a bit of Zunzibar’s happy hour deals: You get larger drinks — 16oz beers or frozen cocktails instead of the usual 12oz for the price of a 12oz. A 16oz Modelo Especial for $6? Yes, please.
They also offer $20 buckets of beer or seltzers. That’s 4 seltzers or 5 domestics for $20.
Amazing deal.
And the best part? Free chips with a spicy honey-mustard dip. You have to ask for them, though — they’re made to order. Generous portions.

This happy hour is definitely group-friendly, with $20 buckets, free chips, and a “Free Shot-Ski” tray that you take as a group. It’s a bit of a college bar vibe, and I’m here for it.
Mellow Mushroom Savannah
📍 11 West Liberty St, Savannah, GA 31401
Days Offered: Every day
Happy Hour Time: 3pm to 7pm
What? Drinks only 🍷🍺🍹
Price Range: $3.50 to $8

This “happy hour every day” thing is dangerous. It makes you plan to go to church on Sunday and then hit up happy hour afterward.
Mellow is always approachable and down-to-earth. The bartender is such a darling, even to a tipsy looking girl like me looking for a happy hour drink.
Sometimes I put on a sparkly dress and ask my husband to take me to a fancy bar to match the dress, and I swear the bartender is never as sweet as this one at Mellow.
Perfect smile. He whispers, “What can I get you, honey? Sorry you had to wait five minutes.”
And I’m like, “Umm, which bar is this again?” 💀
Jokes—I’m not that tipsy… according to me.
The beer discounts here are solid. Some are great deals compared to nearby spots, like $4.50 for a Lagunitas IPA. Can’t be mad at that!
And if you’re hungry, their hoagies and calzones are delicious, in case you want to switch it up from pizza.
We consider this a very successful month in terms of Savannah Happy Hour findings. I’m looking forward to a very happy May.
Leave me a comment with your favorite local specials. Or feel free to share to vanessa@spicymelonblog.com if you’d like to be mentioned.
Happy sipping!
